    1、洛氏硬度計。用于各種鋼材（含合金鋼、不銹鋼）硬度的測試。這是最重要的、最常用的一類硬度計。有以下幾種：  

    ①洛氏硬度計。

    ②電動洛氏硬度計。  

    ③數(shù)顯洛氏硬度計。  

    ④數(shù)顯表面洛氏硬度計。

    ⑤數(shù)顯洛氏、表面洛氏硬度計。  

    2、維氏硬度計。用于測黑色金屬、有色金屬、硬質(zhì)合金（如鋁合金）及表面滲碳、滲氮層的硬度，用HV表示。  

    3、布氏硬度計。測未經(jīng)淬火的鋼材、鑄鐵、有色金屬及質(zhì)軟的軸承合金材料，用HBW表示。

    4、布洛維硬度計。即，可以打布氏、洛氏、維氏三種硬度的硬度計。比較適合于開發(fā)、研究用。

    5、邵氏硬度計（又稱肖氏硬度計，這是因為硬度計都以外國人的姓氏稱呼，譯音不同就有不同的中文字）。只有HA和HD兩種，前者為較軟橡膠類硬度參數(shù)，后者為較硬的橡膠或塑料硬度參數(shù)。

    6、德國FISCHER公司FISCHERSCOPE  H100C是一種計算機(jī)控制的用于微硬度測試的測量儀。主要用于電鍍層、油漆層、有機(jī)物層等的硬度測量，最小可測到1微米的鍍層。  

    7、里氏硬度計。這是一種能將各種硬度值進(jìn)行換算的較小型的硬度計。主要用于對金屬材料的測試，特別是對較大型的工件。

    8、鉛筆硬度計。這是用于涂層硬度的檢測，為將一支鉛筆夾在“小車”上，讓其在涂層上滑動，根據(jù)鉛筆的硬度和涂層上的劃痕來判斷涂層的硬度。

Vickers hardness tester. Used for measuring hardness of ferrous metal, nonferrous metal, hard alloy (such as aluminum alloy) and surface carburizing and nitriding layer, expressed by HV.

3. Brinell hardness tester. Measurement of unquenched steel, cast iron, nonferrous metals and soft bearing alloy materials, expressed by HBW.

4. Brovey durometer. That is, a durometer that can be made with brinell, rockwell and vickers. It is suitable for development and research.

5. Shore durometer (also known as shore durometer because the durometer is called by a foreigner's last name, and is pronounced differently in Chinese). Only HA and HD, the former is a softer rubber hardness parameters, the latter is a harder rubber or plastic hardness parameters.

6. FISCHERSCOPE H100C is a computer-controlled instrument used for microhardness testing. It is mainly used for hardness measurement of electrodeposited coating, paint layer, organic layer, etc.

7. Richter hardness tester. This is a smaller durometer that can convert various hardness values. Mainly used for testing metal materials, especially for larger workpiece.

8. Pencil hardness tester. This is used to test the hardness of the coating, in order to clip a pencil on the "car", let it slide on the coating, according to the hardness of the pencil and the scratch on the coating to judge the hardness of the coating.
